This was one of many eye opening moments on this trip. Somebody's investment, maybe even their lifesavings, abandoned high and dry along a bayou just outside of Slidell, Louisiana. I could be wrong. Maybe these boats are cheap and easy to come by. We saw several more within a couple miles of this as well. It is sobering. Where did this person go? How can you just walk away? Katrina has left major scars, many of which are still raw and bleeding in this part of our country.
