Note: The US Coast Guard requires that if you are to take paying customers out on the ocean you must have a Captain's license. This designation is not to be taken lightly. Each of the guides had their own stories about how hard it was to pass the written exam and thus obtain that safety and knowledge designation from the United States Coast Guard.
