I always thought that the lift bridge in Duluth, Minnesota was unique in the world. Clearly I am wrong, as this LaFourche Parish lift bridge in Louisiana demonstrates. After leaving Gary's place in Slidell, we next went to Grand Isle. On the way out Louisiana Highway 1 going towards Grand Isle, we drove by this.
