After my shoot was done out at Gordon Creek I had the afternoon and the creek
to myself. Beautiful fall day in a gorgeous spot. Quiet. Until I was walking out to the car and
heard all this skittering around in the brush next to the trail. I looked in and there was a small
covey (is this the right word for multiple pheasants??) of pheasants. So I put my gear down and
went to see how close I could get before they flushed. I could not get them to fly and so I ended
up closer than I have ever been to wild (I think) pheasants. Like this one.
